Scaling a Global Fleet Management & Lead Generation Platform
The Problem
Boat.Rent was preparing a major V2 platform launch and needed their infrastructure to handle a significant surge in traffic, complex fleet data management for thousands of vessel listings, and a dramatically simplified booking flow. The existing architecture had accumulated technical debt that would have collapsed under launch-day load.

The Execution
Database Restructure & Optimization
Audited and restructured the underlying WordPress database architecture to support the V2 data model. Implemented custom database actions for fleet table operations, vessel saves via the 'boat wizard' flow, and strict location sanitisation for accurate global search results.
Marketplace Infrastructure
Architected the core lead capture systems and configured hosting environments for multiple independent charter operators. Set up isolation logic to separate operator data while maintaining a unified search and discovery experience for end users browsing the platform.
UX Flow Simplification
Streamlined the booking funnel from a multi-step process with a high drop-off rate into a focused, conversion-optimised flow. Reduced friction at each touchpoint and implemented smarter form logic to increase qualified lead submissions without adding extra steps for the user.

The Result
Lightning-fast load times and a significantly higher lead capture rate post-launch. The V2 platform successfully handled the traffic surge from the launch campaign without incident, and charter operators reported a measurable increase in inquiry volume within the first month.
